This first post is going to layout this idea/dream I have for this blog. I am currently a student at Azusa Pacific University studying international business. Over the past semester the Lord has really laid a plethora of different passions on my heart. What I have been finding out is that they all lead back to me being involved in business. With that said, this blog is not about business. This blog is about prayer.
I was reading a book at the gym today about Christians in the marketplace. I came to a chapter about prayer and how often times prayer and communication with God is one of the last priorities on people's list of things to do. For whatever reason this chapter really hit me hard and I realized that I do not pray nearly enough as I need to. I also realized that I very rarely lift up people in prayer.
I came to the conclusion that I need to use my talents in media (websites, blogs, ect.) for Christ. I also wanted to incorporate helping other people, because I feel that I am called to use business to help people to glorify God. This idea of helping people is one of my driving forces/passions that helps me get up in the morning.
This blog is a combination of my passions for media and helping people. I basically want this blog to be a source of encouragement and prayer for people to come to when they need support and prayer. I opened a email address and I encourage everyone who reads this to send me any prayer requests or praises.
My goal is to lift these prayer requests up 3 times a day. In the morning, at lunchtime and in the afternoon. I am human, so this will be hard and I might fail, but what I know is that I am going to try my hardest and take it day at the time.
The idea is simple, but I think that prayer is powerful and I want to prayer for anyone and everyone. Please let me know if I can pray for you. The email is theprayercorner@gmail.com
